Mr. Grijns is the former Chairman of ING Barings-Americas. Under his leadership,
ING Barings-Americas became an active participant in the loan, bond and equity
capital markets in North and South America, and employed 2,000 professionals.
He is currently Chairman of the Netherland-America Foundation, a philanthropic
organization.
Mr. Key was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Textron,
Inc., a $13 billion multi-industry conglomerate, between 1995 and 2001. He
was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ConAgra, Inc.,
a $15 billion retail food company in North America, between 1992 and 1995.
Mr. Key also held top management positions at Ernst & Young and its predecessor,
including managing partner of the New York office, founder of the M&A
practice, and member of the management committee and of the board of partners.
He is currently a director of Greenhill, Inc., a publicly-traded merchant
bank with almost $2 billion in market capitalization, and a member of the
Board of Trustees of the Rhode Island School of Design.
Mr. Berman was the founder of the mergers and acquisitions department of Bankers
Trust before becoming a recognized business entrepreneur. Mr. Berman currently
holds several directorships, including that of Internet Commerce Corporation
(ICC), a publicly traded software company. Mr. Berman served for 10 years
as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Acquisition Company, a
boutique M&A and private equity firm.
Mr. Dillon was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Party City, the largest
party favors company, between 1999 and 2005. Mr. Dillon also served as Chief
Executive Officer of Cost Plus, a specialty retailer of casual home living
and entertainment products, from September 1990 to February 1998. From August
1987 to August 1990, Mr. Dillon served as President and Chief Operating Officer
of Family Dollar Stores, Inc., a discount retail chain. From 1985 to 1987,
he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Coast America Corporation,
a hardware store chain. Prior to the formation of MTN, he was involved with
two retail company acquisitions made by Olivier Trouveroy: he was CEO of Cost
Plus and a board member of Citi Trends.
Mr. Laughren, currently the Chairman of The Laughren Group LLC, a merchant bank,
enjoyed a highly successful career in consumer packaged goods marketing, in advertising,
and in marketing services. Until 2000, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Screenvision Cinema Network, a company he built into the largest cinema advertising
network in the US. Before that, he was Executive Vice President of J. Walter Thompson
Company, one of the largest advertising companies in the world. He also held senior
marketing positions at Procter & Gamble, International Playtex, Mattel, and E&J Gallo.
He worked with MTN on the acquisition of Sound Lounge and is the company’s Chairman of the Board.
Mr. LeBlanc was President and Chief Executive Officer of Handy & Harman, a $400
million diversified manufacturer of electronic materials, specialty fasteners and
connectors, specialty wire and tubing products, and fabricated precious metals,
between 1996 and 2003. Previously, he was Executive Officer of Elf Atochem North
America, a $1.7 billion specialty chemical and polymer subsidiary of Elf Aquitaine,
France. He is currently a director of Church & Dwight Co. (NYSE: CHD), a $1.8
billion manufacturer of consumer packaged goods and specialty chemicals, and of
Opinion Research (NASDAQ: ORCI), a $200 million provider of market research.
Mr. Cucuz is the Vice Chairman of Rosta International, an automotive components
manufacturer controlled by a private equity group. Before that, between 1996 and 2001,
Mr. Cucuz was Chairman and CEO of Hayes Lemmerz, a $2.5 billion international automotive
components manufacturer. Before that, he was CEO of two Hayes Lemmerz business units.
Between 1987 and 1991, he was CEO of Babcock Industries’ Acco Controls Group, a leading
international manufacturer of cables for the automotive industry. Mr. Cucuz is also a
director of Fuel Systems, the leading independent North American supplier of fuel tanks
for commercial vehicles, a company controlled by a private equity group.
He was a director of Cleveland Cliffs, Lincoln Electric and National Standard.
